1950 Plymouth Suburban Special

Sourced AG is excited to present this 1950 Plymouth Special Suburban -- an extremely unique two-door station wagon that was first sold by Turnure & Blood Chrysler-Plymouth of New York, New York, and is said to have remained in the state until our acquisition in September 2023. The car is finished in New Brunswick Blue over tan cloth upholstery, and power comes from a 217.8ci L-head inline-six paired with a column-shift three-speed manual transmission. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, a split-folding tailgate, front and rear bench seats, an AM radio, and a heater.

The Special Suburban was introduced in September 1950 and featured bright quarter panel stone guards and window trim as well as Special Suburban fender badges. This example is finished in blue and features chrome bumpers, a hood ornament, a split windshield, a driver-side mirror, sliding side windows, and a split-folding tailgate.

The cabin features front and rear bench seating trimmed in tan corduroy cloth, while the seat backs, door panels, and dashboard are covered in brown upholstery. Tan carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes a push-button AM radio, a heater, and a locking glovebox.
